My artworks are attempts at showing the beauty of a phenomenon – such as rainbow patterns caused by diffraction, the beauty of mathematical physics, and the beauty of the technical instruments used to probe it.

I am creating art from precise mathematical functions used in physics – using self-developed code or pencils. My art should speak for itself, no matter if you grasp the underlying physics and math.

With code, I am drawing just plain lines and watch virtual sculptures emerge from the tangle of plain lines. In a world of abundant options of creating art digitally, I find scarcity and restrictions intriguing.

When I am using the techniques of descriptive geometry on paper, I feel I am in between code and traditional art – using traditional tools, but following a code-like process.

When drawing still lives of scientific instruments or technical machinery, I am experimenting with inverted art.
